BUS SERVICE

Dear Cove School Families and Bus Riders:

We are excited to offer Yellow Bus service to and from The Cove School. The Larkspur-Corte Madera School District is part of the Yellow Bus Challenge (YBC) program, a joint powers authority that contracts with First Student transportation for The Cove School route only. Some of the key benefits of the service include:

Exclusive transportation for Cove students, using state-certified drivers and buses; Delivery to and from The Cove School’s on-campus traffic circle; Fast and convenient routes; A "Find My Bus" tracking app allowing for parents to see the bus en route in real time and receipt of service alerts; and, Representatives from both Marin Transit and the Yellow Bus Challenge who coordinate operations and customer service.

The Yellow Bus Challenge is an important initiative for our entire community. A healthy ridership rate among K-5 families is an important piece of the big picture. All YBC buses are age-specific and will foster new friendships and greater independence in our children. Riding the bus supports our district and community goals to reduce traffic congestion and make our streets and sidewalks safer for our children.

The annual cost of a round trip is $670 (or $345 for either morning-only or afternoon-only), which includes financial support from our local municipalities. Passes should be purchased online here and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. The route may sell out, so please do not delay in making your purchase.
